Ripple Partners with Nasdaq-Listed Firm to Bolster US–Mexico Payments
Ripple, the firm behind the third largest cryptocurrency XRP, has made a new partnership to bolster cross-border payments between the United States and Mexico. The company has partnered with International Money Express, a money remittance services firm focused on the Latin and Caribbean corridor, Ripple announced on Feb. 5. Also known as Intermex, the new financial partner of Ripple is listed on the Nasdaq stock market with the stock quote IMXI. Gemini, a cryptocurrency exchange founded by Tyler and Cameron Winklevoss, has integrated popular trading chart analysis service TradingView. According to a TradingView’s announcement on Feb. 4, Gemini has added the trading service as a trading partner, allowing its institutional customers to trade or invest directly through TradingView. Binance CEO Says Compliance Is Key for New Strategic Partnership in Japan
Binance, one of the top cryptocurrency exchanges globally, has started discussions regarding a strategic partnership with two Japanese firms. According to a press release on Jan. 17, Binance has begun negotiations with Z Corporation, a subsidiary of Z Holdings formerly known as Yahoo Japan and TaoTao, a Japanese licensed cryptocurrency exchange. JPMorgan Automates Derivatives Margin Payments With DLT Firm
Major global investment bank JPMorgan has developed a new solution for derivatives designed to speed up cash and collateral transfers. The tool was developed in partnership with California-based fintech firm Baton Systems and aims to enable the real-time movement of transfers to multiple clearinghouses, the firm announced Nov. 14. The current process requires collateral custodians to manually coordinate multiple systems and reports. Iota, Dell and Linux Developing Platform to Rate Data Trustworthiness
Distributed ledger technology provider Iota, Dell Technologies and the Linux Foundation are collaborating on Project Alvarium. In an Oct. 28 press release, the nonprofit Linux Foundation announced it was forming a new project with support from several major industry giants such as Dell, the Iota Foundation and IBM.
