Nasdaq Stockholm lists Bitcoin and Ether exchange-traded notes
Nasdaq Stockholm has announced that 21Shares has listed their first two physically backed exchange-traded notes (ETNs) on the Swedish trading platform. The two instruments listed, with Bitcoin (BTC) and Ether (ETH) as underlying assets, represent a new segment for ETNs — a type of unsecured debt security that tracks an underlying index of equities and trades on a major exchange. The second Bitcoin (BTC) futures-linked exchange-traded fund in the United States began trading on the Nasdaq, opening at a price of $25.52 per share. The United States Securities and Exchange Commission, or SEC, may soon approve an application from crypto-asset manager Valkyrie for a Bitcoin (BTC) exchange-traded fund, or ETF, with the shares to be listed on the Nasdaq Stock Market. According to an Oct. 15 notice from the SEC, the agency has accepted the registration request for shares of Valkyrie’s Bitcoin Strategy ETF for listing on Nasdaq. Bitcoin miner Stronghold will list almost 6M shares in its $100M IPO
United States Bitcoin mining company Stronghold Digital Mining will list almost six million shares in an initial public offering (IPO) on the Nasdaq. Stronghold plans to list 5,882,352 Class A common stock shares priced between $16 and $18 under the ticker “SDIG.” Taking the average proposed offering price puts the IPO at around $100 million. MicroStrategy’s Bitcoin treasury exceeds cash held by 80% of S&P 500 non-financial companies
The value of MicroStrategy’s massive Bitcoin (BTC) holdings has surpassed what most S&P 500 companies hold in their cash treasuries. The Nasdaq-listed enterprise software firm purchased an additional 5,050 Bitcoin for about $242.9 million, raising the value of its 114,042 BTC holdings to nearly $5.3 billion. BREAKING: Coinbase plans to raise $1.5B via debt offering
Coinbase, the largest cryptocurrency exchange in the United States, is planning to raise $1.5 billion via a debt offering, the company officially announced Monday. The Nasdaq-listed crypto exchange is looking to use the capital raised to further grow the company’s balance sheet for general corporate purposes as well as potential investments and acquisitions of other companies, products or technology, Coinbase said. Nasdaq to provide price feeds for tokenized stock trades on DeFiChain
