Electric Coin Company (ECC), which launched and supports the development of privacy-coin Zcash recently published a paper called: Halo: Recursive Proof Composition without a Trusted Setup. Company Behind Zcash Reports Losses in Q1 2019
Electric Coin Company (ECC), the firm behind privacy-centric cryptocurrency Zcash (ZEC), reported financial losses in Q1 2019. According to the Q3 2019 report published on Aug. 29, the firm operated at an average monthly deficit of $186,000 during the first quarter of the year. Operating at a loss The company reportedly was receiving 6,157 ZEC per month and 2,000 ZEC for employee compensation. The Electric Coin Company (ECC), the firm behind second-biggest anoncoin zcash (ZEC), intends to build a new scalable zcash blockchain, cryptocurrency news outlet Forklog reports on June 22. Nonprofit organization The Zcash Foundation has partnered with blockchain company Parity Technologies to release a new, open source software client for the cryptocurrency Zcash, according to a press release on June 17. Twitter user and malware researcher Fumik0_ has discovered a new website that spreads cryptocurrency malware, according to a report by Bleeping Computer on June 5. According to the report, the host for transmitting these viruses is a website that imitates the website for Cryptohopper, a website where users can program tools to perform automatic cryptocurrency trading. When the scam site is visited, it reportedly automatically downloads a setup.exe installer, which will infect the computer once it runs.
