Top movers review: Terra (LUNA), VeChain (VET) and Hedera Hashgraph
While Bitcoin (BTC) and major altcoins tend to garner most of the attention from investors, there are several projects that aim to bring greater decentralization, transparency, accountability and financial inclusion to society and businesses. For the past few months, Cointelegraph has been identifying such projects extensively and several of the tokens recently highlighted have seen a massive surge in their performance. A good investor should keep track of how all the assets in their portfolio perform and during occasional reviews the underperformers should be removed and additional capital deployed toward the assets that continue to produce profits. In this new …

Top 5 cryptocurrencies to watch this week: BTC, UNI, THETA, VET, LUNA
Bitcoin’s (BTC) fundamentals received a boost as the U.S. Senate passed the $1.9 trillion stimulus bill on March 7. If traders react to this bill in the same way as they had done to the first stimulus package in April 2020, then the crypto markets may witness a strong rally. The stimulus package also intensifies the focus on the devaluation of the U.S. dollar. These concerns could lead some investors to park their money in hard assets or Bitcoin instead of keeping them in fiat currencies, according to veteran trader Peter Brandt. In addition to investors, a growing number of …

The Purpose Bitcoin (BTC) exchange-traded fund debuted on the Toronto Stock Exchange on Feb. 18 and has quickly ramped up trading volumes of about $400 million worth of shares in two days. This is quite impressive, considering that the equity market in Canada is only a fraction of the size of the U.S. markets. This shows strong demand for Bitcoin and investor's preference to take the ETF route to establish fresh positions. Last week, Bitcoin reached another important milestone when it hit the critical $1 trillion market capitalization on Feb. 19, making it the sixth asset on the list of …

As of Monday, 100 doctors and personnel had received their first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, the hospital said in a news release. The vaccinated personnel also received a digital certificate on their E-HCert App, an electronic wallet for lab results based on the VeChain Thor blockchain. The digital certificates are “another step towards digital transformation of the healthcare industry via VeChainThor Blockchain,” the Mediterranean Hospital of …

Zilliqa, Terra (LUNA) and VeChain rally off good news and strong fundamentals
During a bull market, negative news is quickly digested, and the collateral damage is often limited. Therefore, even as XRP price dumped aggressively due to the uncertainty regarding the outcome of the United States Securities and Exchange Commission's lawsuit, other altcoins have largely been unaffected. Moreover, as Bitcoin’s (BTC) strong rally takes a breather, several altcoins have broken out of their overhead resistance levels and are attempting to resume their uptrend. Let’s look at a few tokens that have risen sharply in the past few days and analyze their charts to ascertain whether the rally could extend further. ZIL/USD Zilliqa's …

Bitcoin’s (BTC) price has been hovering near the $19,000 level for the past few days. Whenever the price consolidates near the all-time high, it is an indication of strength. However, the question troubling investors is whether Bitcoin will source enough momentum to pull above $20,000 or will it witness a sharp correction in the short term. At the moment, analysts are divided on their expectations about the next move. While the near-term remains uncertain, on-chain analyst Willy Woo believes that the long-term picture is more bullish than ever. According to Woo, Bitcoin is going through a re-accumulation phase, which is …

Top 5 cryptocurrencies to watch this week: BTC, ADA, XMR, ATOM, VET
Investors are concerned about the stability of the cryptocurrency market after it was faced with a flurry of adverse news in the past few days. Fortunately, the markets have matured to the extent that negative news no longer provokes wild price swings like they once did in crypto’s early days. The current stability shows that institutional investors do not consider the recent KuCoin hack, CFTC and DOJ charges against BitMEX, or even President Donald Trump being diagnosed with coronavirus as serious enough events to crash the crypto markets. Therefore, there was no panic liquidation in Bitcoin (BTC) futures after the …
