Wealth flex? Coinbase now allows users to share their crypto allocations
Any of U.S.-based crypto exchange Coinbase’s roughly 68 million verified users can now more easily make information on their portfolio public. According to a Nov. 12 Coinbase blog, senior product manager Rishav Mukherji said the crypto exchange’s app now includes a feature which shares a user’s allocation percentage — not balances — to their network of friends. Discord drops Ethereum and NFT integration plans after backlash
Popular community messaging app Discord has been forced to walk back its integration plans with Ethereum (ETH)-based NFTs following strong backlash from a significant number of its user base. The pushback started on Nov. 9 after Discord’s founder and CEO Jason Citron tweeted “probably nothing” accompanied by a screenshot of the app’s user settings page that displayed an ETH logo and option to connect digital wallets such as MetaMask and Wallet Connect. Alexis Ohanian, Solana Ventures launch $100M Web3 growth fund
Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian has teamed up with Solana Ventures to launch a new investment fund dedicated to Web3 and social projects, potentially setting the stage for the next wave of budding crypto startups. Nonfungible tokens (NFTs) scored another win with gaming giant Zynga’s announcement of the upcoming integration of NFTs and blockchain into the publisher’s portfolio. Reddit to reportedly tokenize karma points and onboard 500M new users
American social media giant, Reddit, may soon convert users’ karma points into Ethereum-based (ERC-20) tokens and onboard 500 million new crypto users in the process, according to a newly hired Reddit engineer.
