A survey posted to Reddit shows that most crypto holders store the majority of their Bitcoin in hardware wallets and keep a backup of the private keys on a sheet of paper. Reddit user gunnaj — real name Gunnar Lindqvist — posted the results of the survey as part of his thesis to Reddit on April 30. Keyless Wallet Provider Zengo Now Holds SGA Stablecoin
Saga Monetary Technologies’ SGA stablecoin is now compatible with keyless wallet ZenGo, thanks to a recent partnership between the two companies. “ZenGo provides guaranteed access, meaning that even if we stop operating, user funds will remain 100% available for the users to move them anywhere they wish,” ZenGo CEO Ouriel Ohayon explained to Cointelegraph about the keyless wallet. Users can now hold their SGA tokens in ZenGo’s wallet, Saga said in a March 19 statement. ZenGo’s wallet does not employ private keys. Ledger Wallet Warns of Fake Google Chrome Extension Stealing Crypto
Major cryptocurrency hardware wallet supplier Ledger has warned its users about another phishing attack trying to steal their crypto — this one using a Google Chrome extension. In a March 5 tweet, the French crypto company specified that there is a fake extension on Google Chrome browser that attempts to steal users’ crypto by asking them to enter their 24-word recovery phrase to access their wallet. Irish Drug Dealer Tells Police That Keys to $56M in Confiscated BTC Are Lost
Dubliner Clifton Collins, who was recently imprisoned for drug trafficking, claims that robbers took the keys to the $56 million in Bitcoin (BTC) Irish High Court had ruled should be confiscated. After obtaining more than 6,000 BTC by 2017, Collins decided to insure himself against hackers by distributing the cryptocurrency across 12 newly created accounts. Blockchain-based web browser Brave has unveiled a cryptocurrency wallet for Ethereum tokens that is currently in development. United States-based investment banking company Bank of America (BofA) has filed a patent for a digital currency wallet with multiple layers of asset access.
