Ether investment products register first weekly inflows in 10 weeks
Inflows into cryptocurrency investment funds rose sharply last week, with Ether (ETH) products breaking a nine-week spell of outflows in the latest sign that institutional managers were re-accumulating assets. Digital asset investment products registered $75.3 million worth of cumulative inflows last week, data from CoinShares revealed Monday. Bitcoin (BTC) investment products saw $25.1 million worth of inflows, while Ether products attracted $20.9 million worth of capital. Bitcoin's 30% recovery in two weeks has BTC whales back in accumulation mode
Bitcoin (BTC) addresses holding at least 1,000 BTC, the so-called whales, have started accumulating more tokens during the recent market recovery. TMX Group Canada to unveil crypto futures product later this year
In response to institutional investors' concerns about the risks of trading in a new asset class, TMX Group, Canada's major stock market operator, has revealed plans to launch its first-ever crypto futures product. While speaking to Reuters, TMX Group's John McKenzie said that the firm plans to release the product on the Montreal Exchange later this year. QR Assets launches DeFi ETF on Brazilian Stock Exchange
Brazilian crypto asset manager QR Assets has launched a decentralized finance exchange-traded funds, or DeFi ETF, on the Brazilian Stock Exchange. The DeFi ETF called QDFI11 would track the Bloomberg Defi index and make 100% of its investment in real DeFi assets. The United States Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has once again delayed its ruling on whether to approve Grayscale’s application for a Bitcoin (BTC) exchange-traded fund (ETF), citing familiar concerns around manipulation, liquidity and transparency. Canadian Bitcoin ETF sees its third-biggest daily inflow ever
Canada-based Purpose Bitcoin ETF attracted over $38 million worth of Bitcoin (BTC) this Tuesday, its third-largest daily inflow to date. VanEck launches its first multi-token cryptocurrency fund
On Monday, VanEck, a financial institution with close to $82 billion in assets under management with exchange-traded funds, or ETFs, mutual funds, and institutional accounts, announced the launch of its first cryptocurrency fund. Fidelity seeks approval for 2 more crypto-metaverse ETFs
Fidelity Investments appeared undeterred by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission's, or SEC's, rejection of its Wise Origin Bitcoin Trust spot ETF on Thursday. SEC rejects application for Fidelity’s Wise Origin Bitcoin Trust spot ETF
The United States Securities and Exchange Commission has disapproved asset manager Fidelity’s Wise Origin Bitcoin Trust spot exchange-traded fund application. According to a Thursday filing, the SEC rejected a proposed rule change from the Cboe BZX Exchange to list and trade shares of Fidelity’s Wise Origin Bitcoin (BTC) Trust. SEC pushes decision on ARK 21Shares Bitcoin ETF to April 3
The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission has extended its window to approve the ARK 21Shares Bitcoin exchange-traded fund originally proposed in July 2021. According to a Tuesday filing from the SEC, the regulatory body will push the deadline for approving or disapproving the ARK 21Shares Bitcoin ETF from Feb. 2 for an additional 60 days, to April 3.
