Charity platform expects significantly larger crypto than fiat donations for Giving Tuesday
Engiven, a crypto donation platform that has helped facilitate contributions to the Salvation Army and others, expects religious groups and non-profit organizations will see significant charitable payments in crypto tomorrow for Giving Tuesday. Moon Landing initiative brings neurodiversity to NFTs and supports art non-profits
Nonfungible tokens, or NFTs, are certificates of ownership representing digital artwork, music, videos, audio, memorabilia, and more. They have rapidly gained in popularity over the past year for their ability to enable everyday artists to create and sell content. In fact, OpenSea, the world's biggest NFT marketplace, recently surpassed $1.6 billion in monthly trading volume alone. Like physical artwork, NFTs can also be auctioned for charity purposes or donated to non-profit groups with generous tax deductions. From funding the construction of a school in Uganda, to helping frontline healthcare workers, non-profit NFTs drops can play a decisive role in making …

Crypto Thanksgiving: NFT drops and Black Friday deals go mainstream?
From the rise of the Metaverse to major brands announcing nonfungible token (NFT) drops, cryptocurrency mass adoption is well underway. Americans in particular have taken a growing interest in crypto, as recent findings from the Pew Research Center found that nearly a quarter of 10,371 adults in the United States were familiar with cryptocurrency, while only one-eighth (13%) were entirely unfamiliar with the concept. Additional research from online broker firm, BrokerChooser, discovered that the U.S. is the third most interested county in NFTs, falling behind Canada and Australia. Given America’s curiosity for crypto, it shouldn’t come as a surprise that …

How one company is leveraging blockchain technology to decentralize healthcare
When high-quality healthcare research exists, medical personnel can more effectively collaborate to prevent diseases, providing people in general with a better quality of life. Throughout the Covid-19 pandemic, many around the world noticed a discrepancy in response to this specific disease in comparison to other healthcare concerns plaguing the world. This led to questions such as, “why was it that researchers and scientists were able to create a vaccine in 3 months? How was it that researchers from around the world were able to unite towards a common goal ?” And, “what was it that motivated them to race towards …

Blockchain technology can make micropayments finally functional
I recently came across Marc Andreessen’s article from 2014 on Bitcoin (BTC). In many ways, it is visionary (no surprise). I have been in the industry for four years now, with most of my focus being on the social impact of blockchain. It is astonishing to me that in 2014, before there was any institutional presence in Bitcoin — or, indeed, a popular understanding of this new technology — Andreessen was able to outline its potential economic and social impact for the future. Nearly eight years after he inked his words, I would like to address one of the topics …
