CleanSpark scoops up 1K+ mining rigs at ‘substantially discounted price’
Crypto mining firm CleanSpark announced the purchase of more than 1,000 Bitcoin (BTC miners amid the market downturn, reporting a “substantially discounted price” compared to that earlier in 2022. In a Thursday blog spot, CleanSpark said it had acquired 1,061 Whatsminer M30S rigs currently mining Bitcoin at the Coinmint facility in New York, whose space the company shares with Riot Blockchain. New York digital media company the latest to add Bitcoin to balance sheet
Townsquare Media, a New York-based digital marketing and radio station company, is the latest business to back the original cryptocurrency with its addition of $5 million worth of Bitcoin (BTC) to its balance sheet. A filing with the United States Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) disclosing Townsquare’s purchase of Bitcoin was first picked up by Macroscope, a Twitter account that focuses on institutional trading, posted the find on Monday. MicroStrategy shareholders letter: We’ll 'vigorously pursue' more BTC buys
MicroStrategy CEO Michael Saylor has proclaimed to shareholders of his company that his firm intends to “vigorously pursue” its reserve assets strategy to buy and hold more Bitcoin. Saylor’s publicly traded company is the largest single-wallet holder of Bitcoin (BTC) in the world with 129,218 BTC according to wallet tracker Bitcoin Treasuries. Those coins are currently valued at about $5.1 billion. MicroStrategy bought 4,197 more coins on April 5. MicroStrategy subsidiary will purchase Bitcoin after closing $205M crypto-collateralized loan
MacroStrategy, a subsidiary of business intelligence firm MicroStrategy, said it will purchase Bitcoin after obtaining a multimillion dollar loan from Silvergate Bank.
