Regulated French investment firm offers interest-focused crypto bundles

Published at: Oct. 20, 2021

Feel mining is a French company that provides you access to the world of cryptocurrency through multiple offers: staking, lending, masternodes, mining, buying crypto, machine sales, hosting.

Based in Grenoble, the company was recently accredited as a provider of services on digital assets (PSAN) by the French financial markets regulator Autorité des marchés financiers (AMF, E2021-022).

The core of Feel Mining’s offering is its four “investment packs” that offer investors the ability to easily diversify their cryptocurrency holdings by investing in staking or running proof-of-stake (PoS) masternodes, which are arranged by risk tolerance.

Serenity is, unsurprisingly, for the most risk-intolerant crypto investors, offering four stable products with good liquidity and a significant market cap in tokens. Discovery’s nine projects offer a balance with several stable and sustainable staking projects and other, more performance-oriented masternode investments. Challenger is the high-performance package for the most risk-tolerant, containing six masternode investments.

A fourth investment pack, Opportunity, is a basket of six well-adopted projects that offer a diversified portfolio with strong capitalization and liquidity. Launched in May, Opportunity is aimed at medium- to long-term investors.

Investors can also build their own portfolio from Feel Mining’s 22 staking projects and ten masternode projects. These include Ethereum 2.0 (ETH), Polkadot (DOT) and Cardano (ADA) staking, and Dash (DASH) and Firo on the masternode side.

Beyond that, Feel Mining also rents cloud mining equipment or offers selling and hosting ASICS mining machines for clients in its farms in Canada, Siberia, Kazakhstan and Iceland — which, it says, offer inexpensive and 100% renewable electricity.

Accreditation is key

Feel Mining pursued its AMF accreditation vigorously, winning approval in July.

Registration with the Paris-based AMF is mandatory for any company that offers custody, trades, or runs an exchange or other trading platform in France. In 2019, the government passed PACTE, the law creating the regulator’s DASP license.

PACTE also established a regulatory framework for initial coin offerings (ICO). The AMF approved its first ICO this May.

This February, the agency’s chairman proposed that the European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) should take over as the European regulator of digital assets — which was followed in May by the appointment of a senior AMF official as head of ESMA.

Prompt payment

While Feel Mining’s investment packs focus on altcoin companies, its investment packs pay interest daily — every five minutes, in fact — in Bitcoin, which can be reinvested, withdrawn, or exchanged for fiat currency at any time.

According to the company, recurring investment frees investors “from the market noise” that can disrupt the ability to make good, long-term investments “with a cool head.”

The investment strategy of each of the four packs is analyzed and reviewed — and, if necessary, adjusted — once a quarter to ensure the products they contain still fit the risk-tolerance profiles and that the returns are meeting expectations.

The investing platform also focuses on the quality of the product; it underlines the importance of the easy-to-use interface and available and responsive customer support.

Experts debate Bitcoin climate footprint in latest Cointelegraph Crypto Duel
In the latest Cointelegraph Crypto Duel, founder of Digiconomist Alex de Vries and CEO and founder of Blockchain for Climate Joseph Pallant debated the intensity of Bitcoin’s footprint and possible paths forward to reduce it. As pointed out by de Vries, Bitcoin’s energy consumption has been increasing together with its network. The analyst predicts its carbon footprint could increase tremendously as Bitcoin gets closer to mass adoption. “I fear that this will quickly get completely out of control if adoption increases a lot more”, he said. According to de Vries, as long as Bitcoin functions with a proof-of-work system, bringing …

What DeFi needs to do next to keep institutional players interested
The last few months’ frenzy of institutional money flowing into Bitcoin (BTC) has seen crypto hitting the headlines — at the least as a novelty asset, at the most as a must-have. There is undoubtedly a trend in the market toward greater awareness and acceptance of digital assets as a new investable asset class. A June 2020 report by Fidelity Digital Assets found that 80% of institutions in the United States and Europe have at least an interest in investing in crypto, while more than a third have already invested in some form of digital asset, with Bitcoin being the …

Needed: A massive education project to fight hacks and scams
The common narrative around the prevailing threats to mainstream adoption of cryptocurrencies is that regulators will put the kibosh on their legality, it has to get much easier for “ordinary” people to use, and the magnitude of its volatility has to be tempered. All of these are true. But there’s something perhaps just as consequential: scams, hacks, fraudulent exchanges, dumps and the like. Why? Every attack leaves a scar. And the scars are mounting fast. According to a study by Chainalysis, scammers got away with $14 billion worth of crypto in 2021, which represents hundreds of thousands — maybe millions …

Crypto, like railways, Part 2: Blockchain as the new internet planner
In my latest article “Crypto, like railways, is among the world’s top innovations of the millennium,” I compare the blockchain revolution to the railway boom. If we apply this analogy further, what’s going to happen next? Stuart Hylton in his book What the Railways Did for Us: The Making of Modern Britain cites this quote: “The direct effects of railway building are, after all, considerable enough in themselves to require no exaggeration. They profoundly influenced the internal flows of traffic, the choices of the site and the patterns of land use, the residential densities and development prospects of the central …

Is post-Merge Ethereum PoS a threat to Bitcoin's dominance?
While Ethereum (ETH) fans are enthusiastic about the successful Merge, Swan Bitcoin CEO Cory Klippsten believes the upgrade will lead Ethereum into a “slow slide to irrelevance and eventual death.” According to Klippsten, the Ethereum community picked the wrong moment for detaching the protocol from its reliance on energy. As many parts of the world are experiencing severe energy shortages, he believed the environmental narrative is taking the back seat. In an exclusive interview with Cointelegraph, Klippsten said “I think the world is just waking up to reality and Ethereum just went way off into Fantasyland at the exact wrong …
