The Moscow-based exchange, dubbed Huobi Russia, is established in partnership with the state-owned Russian Development Bank’s (VEB) Digital Transformation Center and supported by Huobi’s regional exchange partnership program, Huobi Cloud. Huobi’s new cryptocurrency marketplace comes via a San Francisco-based partner company called HBUS, whose creation was first announced in early June. Huobi, is announcing the launch of its new public blockchain, the Huboi Chain Project (HCP), the company’s spokesperson told Cointelegraph. As of press time, Huobi is the world’s third largest digital currency exchange by trade volume, according to Coinmarketcap. Huobi cryptocurrency exchange will transition its HUSD token from its current stablecoin system to an ERC-20 token through a partnership with crypto startups Stable Universal Limited and Paxos Trust Company. Per a press release published on July 17, Stable Universal will develop a new ERC-20 HUSD Token, which will be pegged to the United States dollar and held in reserve by the New York State Department of Financial Services-regulated custodian Paxos.
