Kaleido Blockchain Implements QEDIT’s Zero-Knowledge Proof Solution

Published at: Sept. 15, 2019

Enterprise blockchain startup Kaleido, a part of ConsenSys’s venture studio, became the first to implement crypto privacy firm QEDIT’s zero-knowledge proof solution.

An optional feature

QEDIT claims in a press release shared with Cointelegraph on Sept. 15 that this partnership with Kaleido will enable its private asset transfer feature as an off-the-shelf option for businesses using the platform. CEO and co-founder of QEDIT Jonathan Rouach added:

“Kaleido has played a leading role in accelerating the deployment of enterprise blockchain technology by removing the need for companies to invest significant resources in custom code development.

A notable platform

Rouach also named the Komgo blockchain as an example of Kaleido’s potential, claiming that it employed by major energy companies and financial institutions. Per the announcement, Kaleido “is the only full-stack blockchain SaaS that is enterprise and consortia-ready.”

As Cointelegraph reported in May last year, leading cloud platform Amazon Web Service partnered with Kaleido to offer simplified blockchain cloud platforms for its clients. In November 2018, the two also launched a full-stack platform that helps enterprises implement blockchain solutions.

The blockchain network building a more private future for the internet
A blockchain ecosystem has launched a suite of tools designed to build a more private future for the internet — delivering unparalleled security to users and developers. Oxen’s products are free to download and use, and the project says no prior knowledge of blockchain technology is required to make the most of these apps. One of the platform’s flagship apps is Session, a private messaging platform that has already amassed more than 100,000 users across multiple operating systems. A cutting-edge protocol paves the way for fully anonymous account creation, with cryptography used to minimize metadata leakage. Users can engage in …

Privacy protocol’s dogged focus on untraceable coins and anonymous communication
In a battle of animal-themed cryptocurrencies, a bullock-branded, anonymity-focused protocol is making the case that it is faster, safer and cleaner than the shiba inu-faced joke coin that became a top 10 cryptocurrency this year, largely on the strength of Elon Musk’s memes. Animals aside, the Oxen privacy coin does have some reason to compare itself with market darling Dogecoin. Speed, for one. While DOGE’s block time is one minute compared to OXEN’s two, Oxen can use what it calls Blink technology, which is the default setting for OXEN to make the transactions nearly instant. On top of that, Oxen …

ING Bank Releases Blockchain Privacy Tool Bulletproofs
Dutch global banking and financial services corporation ING introduced its new cryptographic blockchain development called Bulletproofs, according to an announcement on Feb. 7 Bulletproofs represents an extended technology for ING’s previous blockchain privacy-focused developments such as zero-knowledge range proof (ZKRP) and zero-knowledge set membership (ZKSM). ING bank first launched ZKRP in November 2017, enabling market participants to maintain anonymity in a transaction while still confirming its accuracy. For instance, the tool allowed a mortgage applicant to prove their salary within a certain range without revealing the exact figure. As an improved version of ZKRP, ZKSM was released in October 2018, …

ING Bank Launches Open Source Privacy Improvement Add-On for Blockchains
Dutch multinational banking and financial services corporation ING confirmed the release of its open source blockchain tool Zero-Knowledge Set Membership (ZKSM) in a press release Monday, Oct. 21. ZKSM, which functions as a privacy “improvement” to distributed ledger technology (DLT), such as blockchain, aims to provide validation of certain alphanumeric data without compromising that data’s overall security. According to ING, the tool allows a blockchain to confirm a piece of data belongs to a specified set, while not revealing its full characteristics. For example, as the press release elaborates, an E.U. citizen could prove he or she is from the …

Big four auditing firm Deloitte integrated the privacy developed by cryptography startup QEDIT into its qualification information blockchain platform Eduscrypt, a press release shared with Cointelegraph on Oct. 29 reveals. Per the release, the announcement was made at the ZKProof Community Event in Amsterdam today. Another application of ZK-Proofs The event was dedicated to Zero Knowledge Proofs (ZK-Proofs), an advanced kind of cryptography — which QEDIT’s solution uses — that allows to verify data without actually revealing it.
