New ‘party-to-earn’ model vows to take electronic music industry to the next level

Published at: Sept. 29, 2022

Crypto enthusiasts love to party — And now, a new project has been launched that caters exclusively to clubbers.

Klubcoin is championing a new concept called “party-to-earn,” meaning members of its community can gain VIP access to “insane” experiences.

The project says it has already attracted support from some of the world’s biggest clubs, festivals and electronic music brands, such as Amnesia Ibiza, Festicket, Clubbing TV, Bootshaus, Caprices Festival and DJ Mag.

A crucial goal for Klubcoin is to deliver experiences “money can’t buy” that are curated specially for users. Exclusive events are going to be held in real life as well as in the metaverse — an exciting development as virtual reality offers a new, immersive way to enjoy live music. What’s more, members will have a chance to secure tickets for sold-out events, attend meet-and-greets with world-famous DJs, and be whitelisted for nonfungible token (NFT) airdrops.

Other partnerships have also been secured with the likes of Festicket, Pacha

Barcelona, Opium, Motel Particulier, Dolby.io, Ledger, Atlanticus Music and DJenerates. Such high-profile connections with the music industry will be crucial in ensuring that Klubcoin achieves widespread adoption.

How it all works

Klubcoin aims to establish a new payment method that’s accepted by everyone in the ecosystem — including nightclubs, festivals, ticketing platforms, consumer electronics brands, streaming music services and NFT marketplaces. This means that no matter whether music fans are snapping up a new pair of headphones or some merchandise, they’ll receive cashback that can be converted into fiat.

Alternatively, saving up for these rewards unlocks big perks at venues around the world — opportunities that other electronic music fans would give anything to have. Party animals have never needed an incentive to go clubbing before, and now they have one.

A bespoke app has been created that enables tokens to be sent and received and creates a safe environment where transactions can be managed. Electronic music fans can also keep an eye out for the latest discounts and special offers — and receive top tips on how they can make the most out of Klubcoin. The app is free and already available for iOS devices, with Android to follow soon.

Ticking the boxes

Following on from a challenging time during the coronavirus pandemic, the team behind Klubcoin argues that the music sector needs our support now more than ever. It wants to help artists and venues get even closer to their fans while unlocking new revenue streams in the process.

Businesses and creators who join the Klubcoin family will be able to accept payments in a native token through the Klubcoin app, as well as secured Shopify and WooCommerce gateways — benefitting from instant transactions as well as low fees. Crucially, the project says that its team is fully doxed, meaning the credentials of their electronic music experts, blockchain specialists and crypto gurus can be easily verified.

An exclusive NFT collection called The List is live right now, and minting will begin by the end of October. Klubcoin’s also got a presence on Telegram.

Just last week, Mark Zuckerberg announced that Facebook will become a metaverse company. Meanwhile, few “metaverse” companies have any real scale or customers, which makes it easy for onlookers to dismiss it as a trend that may flame out. We would caution against that. …
